About Z+P Architects

Ziemba + Prieto Architects is a medium sized architecture and planning firm specializing in providing professional services to School Districts, Retail Clients, Developers, Municipalities, and miscellaneous clients. Formerly known as Adolph Ziemba, AIA & Associates, Inc., the firm was founded by Mr. Adolph J.W. Ziemba in 1994 based on the basic principles of Communication, Service and Satisfaction. Over the last twenty-four years, Al and our team of talented professionals have built long lasting relationships.

In 2014, Jorge Prieto, the firm’s Vice President became Principal. Shortly thereafter we began a new journey and efforts to re-brand the company. In October of 2014 the firm name was changed to Ziemba + Prieto Architects, and subsequently Mr. Prieto became the firm’s Owner and President. He brings over 30 years of retail and educational architecture experience. Although the name was changed, our commitment to our clients remain at the top of our list. We invite you to contact them.

Jorge Prieto

Jorge F. Prieto, AIA is the President of Ziemba + Prieto Architects. Throughout his career, Mr. Prieto has specialized in a variety of projects including Educational, Institutional, Residential, Retail and Entertainment projects. He is an innovative architect with 30 years of professional experience. His experience includes all phases of design, preparation of construction documents, project administration, coordination and interfacing with consultants, clients and jurisdictional agencies.

As President he is responsible for overseeing all office production of educational and retail projects for various Clients, and for cultivating existing accounts and building new relationships. Mr. Prieto is a licensed architect in California (License No. C33216) and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH), and State of California Registered Disaster Service Worker (CDSW).

Adolph Ziemba (Retired)

Adolph J. W. Ziemba is the founding Principal of the firm Ziemba + Prieto Architects (formerly known as Adolph Ziemba AIA & Associates, Inc.). He brings over 48 years of architectural and engineering experience to the office. Mr. Ziemba’s areas of expertise include School District Facilities, Relocatable Classroom Buildings, Feasibility Studies, Retail Centers, Governmental Buildings, Military Projects, Reports and Inspection Services. Mr. Ziemba has extensive experience working with DSA, State Fire Marshal, Access Compliance, OPSC, SAB and CDE. His experience with educational facilities includes new construction, modernization and re-locatable building projects. Al holds licenses in California (License No. 23198), Arizona (License No. 27106), Idaho (License No. 984497), Nevada (License No. 3497), Washington (License No. 7148), South Carolina (License No. 6149) and Hawaii (License No. 13205).

He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH), Los Angeles Community College District - Curriculum Advisory Board Member (LACCD), and State of California Registered Disaster Service Worker (CDSW).
